Understanding Christian Nationalist tactics for Sympathy

Mischaracterization of the allegations brought against him combined with claims that he is being attacked for his strong Christian stance. Notice how he claims that he is only being attacked for not supporting the modern state of Israel and for rejecting dispensational theology.

(This is a man who denied Jesus was a Jew, he has made false claims that Jews secretly run the world and endorsed a bookseller known for their Nazi publications, among numerous other comments)

Notice how he wants sympathy as if he is being persecuted by the real sinners and that he is just showing good Christian judgment while leaving out all the specifics that people are actually using to criticize him. If he would just add in uselessly large words I would think Doug Wilson wrote this. And I would suspect that many of his supporters will book,ark this response and bring it out when their own positions are challenged.

This is the kind of post that Wilson writes and his supporters will stand by without investigating deeper into what the man has truly said and believes.This article represents a tactic often used by Doug Wilson and increasingly one Joel is relying on.
